Walking

From level walking along the Canal to mountain hikes in the Corbieres and Minervois hills or foothills of the Pyrenees, all are available within easy reach of the houses.

There are walks of all kinds available to the relaxed holiday maker, as well as to those coming for a serious walking holiday.

Folders of information and books with walking routes are available in both houses and we are on hand to give personal guidance.

Swimming and other water sports

With the Mediterranean within approximately 40 minutes drive to the east, the seaside resorts of Narbonne-Plage, St Pierre sur Mer and Gruissan-Plage are the nearest resorts.

The coastal lagoons and prevailing westerly wind provide ideal conditions for all forms of wind based water sports, the World Windsurfing Championships being held at Leucate each Spring.

Fresh water lakes and rivers provide a refreshing alternative nearer to the village - Lac du Jouarres, Lac de Cavalyere (Carcassonne Plage), the river Cesse at Bize Minervois and the Orb at Roquebrun.
